US recipes say “bake at 350 °F for 25 minutes”, US forecasts talk about “90 degrees tomorrow”, and some ear or pet thermometers default to Fahrenheit. Converting back to Celsius makes those numbers meaningful: 350 °F is about 177 °C, the most common baking temperature, and 90 °F is about 32 °C, a hot day.
Formula: °C = (°F − 32) ÷ 1.8. Example: 350 °F = 176.7 °C. Table values are rounded to two decimal places (one for temperatures); use the converter above for more precision.
Subtract 30 and halve for a quick estimate: 80 °F is about 25 °C (exactly 26.7 °C). For ovens, convert exactly and then adjust for how your own oven runs; dials marked in 10 °C steps can be set to 175–180 °C for 350 °F.
