Text copied from PDFs, web pages or spreadsheets often comes with stray spaces, broken lines and repeated entries. Paste it into the input box and the output box shows the same text, ready to be cleaned with the buttons on the left. Each button works on the current output, so you can chain steps, for example Trim Spaces, then Remove Empty Lines, then Remove Duplicates, until it looks right. Editing the original input starts the output over from that text. When you are done, click Copy Result.
Here is exactly what the cleaning buttons do. Trim Spaces removes leading and trailing whitespace on every line and collapses runs of spaces or tabs inside a line into a single space. Remove All Spaces deletes every whitespace character, including line breaks, so the text becomes one line; that is useful for phone numbers, serial keys or codes. Remove Empty Lines deletes blank lines, including lines that contain only spaces. Remove Duplicates keeps the first occurrence of each line and preserves the original order.
The case buttons cover everyday writing and code naming: UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case, plus the developer formats camelCase, snake_case and kebab-case. For example, user profile page becomes userProfilePage, user_profile_page and user-profile-page, ready for variable names, database columns or URL slugs. Accented letters such as é, ü and ñ are handled correctly, and scripts without letter case, like Chinese or Japanese, are left unchanged.
Find & Replace swaps every occurrence of one piece of text for another, for instance to fix a misspelled product name or replace curly quotes with straight ones; leave the replacement empty to delete the text. Matching is literal and case-sensitive, with no regular expressions; if you need pattern matching, test the pattern in the Regex Tester on this site first. Everything is processed in your browser and your text is never uploaded.
