Combining invoices for an expense claim, bundling a proposal with its appendices for a tender or submitting coursework as a single file all call for merging PDFs. Most online services require uploading your files to a server, but contracts, financial statements and ID documents are rarely something you want to hand to a third party. This tool merges PDFs in your browser with pdf-lib, so the files never leave your computer.
Unlike tools that can only append whole files, it uses pdf.js to split every file into page thumbnails labelled with their source file. Use ◀ and ▶ to move any page earlier or later, and ✕ to delete pages you do not need, such as duplicate covers, blank pages or irrelevant appendices. In other words, it is a merger, page reorderer and page remover in one.
Select or drop several PDFs at once and add more later if needed. When the order looks right, press merge to download a new file named AlpaKit_Merged plus a timestamp; the originals are not modified. The merged file is roughly the combined size of the inputs, so if you need to email it, shrink it afterwards with our PDF compressor.
Keep in mind that PDFs protected with an open password must be unlocked in their original software first. Bookmarks, form fields and digital signatures from the originals may not fully survive merging, so if a document has been formally signed, check whether merging affects its validity. With many pages or lots of high-resolution images, processing time depends on your device.
