Mockups, app prototypes and API tests all need content that looks real. This mock data generator has two tabs: Lorem for placeholder text in layouts, and JSON for fake records that stand in for a database or API response. Everything is generated randomly in your browser with no server involved, so it is safe to use on work projects.
The Lorem tab offers Latin (classic Lorem Ipsum style), Traditional Chinese, random English words or playful "alpaca bleats", generated by words, sentences or paragraphs with a slider from 1 to 50. In paragraph mode each paragraph holds three to five sentences; English and Latin sentences are capitalized and end with a period, so the text has the rhythm of real copy when you drop it into a design.
The JSON tab lets you build your own schema. Each row takes a field name and a type: UUID, name, email, phone, city, boolean, number (0–999) or short text. The default fields are id, name, email and city. The data locale can be Traditional Chinese, English or Japanese, which switches names, cities and phone formats (09xx-xxx-xxx for Taiwan, +1 (555) numbers for English, 090 numbers for Japan). Generate 1 to 100 records, then copy them or download a .json file.
UUIDs come from the browser’s crypto.randomUUID(), so they are valid version 4 identifiers. Email addresses always use the reserved test domains example.com, example.net and example.org, so you never end up mailing a real inbox by accident. Names and phone numbers are random combinations that may coincide with real people, so use them for development and demos only, not as published data.
