Privacy and data handling

This tool runs in your browser. Before working with sensitive data, make sure you trust your browser and device environment.

Office parties, livestreams and giveaways: running a fair and fun draw

At office parties, classroom events, livestream giveaways or comment-based contests, the worst outcome is a process nobody trusts, leaving people wondering whether the winner was chosen in advance. Paste your list into this tool and it picks winners in front of everyone with a rolling animation and sound effects to build suspense. The result is clear for all to see, perfect for a projector or a shared livestream screen.

It is simple to use. Paste the entrants into the box, one name per line; blank lines are skipped and the current count is shown at the top. Set how many winners to draw and press draw. Several winners drawn in the same round are never duplicates. However, if the same name appears twice in the list, it counts as two tickets and doubles that person’s chance. If your rules say one entry per person, remove duplicate accounts first, for example with our text cleaner’s duplicate-line removal.

For multiple rounds, such as drawing the grand prize and then second prizes, note that the tool does not remove previous winners from the list automatically. If the same person should not win twice, delete winners from the list before the next round. Before drawing, you can press shuffle to scramble the order so everyone sees the list was not pre-arranged. Afterwards, “Copy winners” lets you paste the results straight into an announcement or post.

The tool uses the browser’s built-in Math.random to pick results, which is random and fair enough for parties, classrooms and social media. For legally regulated public draws, lotteries or formal events that need an audit trail, use a professional process with notarization or verifiable records. Your list is processed only in your browser and is never uploaded or saved.

Frequently asked questions

Can the same person win twice in one draw?

No, winners in the same round are unique. But a name listed several times counts as several tickets, so remove duplicates first.

Are winners removed from the list after a round?

No. To stop someone winning again, delete their name before drawing the next round.

Is the draw fair?

Results come from the browser’s random number generator and every entry has an equal chance, which suits events and giveaways. Use a professional process for legally regulated draws.

Is my list saved or uploaded?

No. The list is processed only in your browser and is gone when you close the page.
